The 10" Kicker 43CWRT101 CompRT subwoofer can handle 400W RMS, it is one of the best subwoofer values, and one of the best low profile subwoofers in the world. Many low profile subwoofers sound "shallow" but the 10" Kicker CompRT is one of the few exceptions. The CompRT does not disappoint with it's shallow design, power handling, and rating. It gives you the bass output you expect while allowing for more flexibility with installs due to its low profile design. The CompRT is really popular if you don't want to take up a ton of space in your trunk, or if you have a truck and you want to put one or two subwoofers under the rear seat of your truck.
The dual 2 ohm voice coil on the subwoofer is ideal if you want to run a single subwoofer at 1 or 4 ohms, 2 subwoofers at 2 ohm, 3 subwoofers at 1.33 ohm, or 4 subwoofers at 1 ohm.
If you want to run 1 subwoofers, we typically recommend the 10" Kicker CompRT Dual 1 Ohm voice coil subwoofer as it allows you to wire the subwoofers to a 2 ohm load. The 2 ohm load is easier on the amplifier and will extend the life of your stereo system.
For amplifiers, we recommend the Kicker CX400.1 or the Kicker KX400.1 if you are running 1 subwoofer. If you need to power two subwoofers, go with either the Kicker CX800.1 or the KX800.1. If you need to power 4 subwoofers, we recommend the Kicker KX1600.1.
